Chinese Vases and Flowers, Shells and Insects "created by Balthazar van der Astor
This oil painting titled "Chinese Vases and Flowers, Shells and Insects" was created by Balthazar van der Astor, who is skilled in floral painting,. The composition of the painting and the organization of its elements, as well as the characteristics of Ambrosius Bosch's painting, include shells, insects, and decorative lizards above the signature, all of which are typical elements of the Van der Astor style. The existence of these elements may be related to the phenomenon of collecting rare things that was popular in the Netherlands at that time, similar to Schelter's works. The vases in the paintings are filled with brightly colored flowers, highlighting the tones of red, yellow, and orange. Visitors can now visit the Thyssen Bornemissa National Museum
